Our precision metal forming division focuses on a substantial diverse array of press-processed components such as those used in home electronics and automobiles. Starting with our Seven large-servomechanism robot line (600t + 400t x 6), unique in Japan (at the time of introduction), we support our customer needs by always keeping up with the latest production equipment. PEC's leading edge production lines support our excellent processing quality with our uniquely designed metal forming technology. The “deep drawing press” processing method has formed the basis of that special knowledge, primarily brought to life in our industrial secondary battery cell cans. PEC's deep-drawn process supports large size rounded cans that are 100 mm or taller and is extremely precise, with circular deviation for cylindrical cans 50 μm or less. The future for specialized batteries is bright; from hybrid cars to EV powered automobiles and solar-power backup power sources.
